Daniel started in the martial arts at the age of 13. He received his blackbelt in Kajukenbo at the age of 18 under Sifu Marquez. In junior college Daniel was the captain of the Solano College Judo team and studied judo under Dr. Jimmy Tanaka. Inspired by the early UFC's and the legendary Royce Grace he sought out the Gracie family style of jiujitsu to compliment his Judo. Daniel started training with reknowned coach Cesar Gracie at the age 19 and have been part of the Gracie Fighter fight team since. Daniel has trained for years with a long list of names in the MMA world. Dave Terrell, Gil Castillo, Val Ignatov, Diaz Brothers, Jake Shields, Gilbert Melendez, and the list goes on. Daniel currently has a brown belt from Cesar Gracie and Jake Shields.

To round out and complete his MMA game Daniel has also trained extensively at the Fairtex gym in San Francisco, CA with world famous Muay Thai fighter/trainer Enn Fairtex, and Has been coached by Professional strength coach and powerlifter Ted Oneil at Diablo Barbell.

With the Gracie family, strength from powerlifting, standup from Fairtex and boxing trainer Tareq Azim, Danny Damage is read to continue his progress in the professional MMA world.
